bulb changes

This is going to sound very retarded. However, iv'e just changed some rear bulbs on my mk4, and iv'e gone to do the front, however... iv'e taken offthe casing behind the light cluster, and cant get to the bulbs?? does the whole cluster pull out of the front of the car? or am i missing something?

ummm okay it seems its me being a moron on some respects... it's just ludacrisly hard to do because the battery is in the way.  this may be useful for others;

and of course dont get oil on the bulb, otherwise when you do get it in, it blows. f0kers

I just take my bumper off. 9 bolts and your off.

how long did it take you? any cuts on your hands

well, it took me about 15 minutes to figure out how the poxy clip works that holds the bulb in place... then after that about 45 seconds to get the bulb in, which then promptly blew on me (i guess i got oil on it, messing up the gas inside etc etc). so then i had to go get another one.... then come back and fit it... ummm so i'd say all told..... including the two trips to go and buy a poxy bulb... about 1 hr 15 mins and £18.  lol.  oh and no cuts on my hand thankfully, however, i could see how that could easily be achieved on the sidewhere the battery is
