reading this post has realy made me regret selling my mk1 by that price guide i gave mine away for 1200 (with a extra brand new genuine vag bonnet as it had a slight dent in it)
i fitted a rebuilt 1.8 mk1 rocco engine and gearbox originaly 1.6 also on the car was quad lamp zenda front grill kamei small spoiler bbs body kit and it was a german rhd import stated on v5!!! whos mad
this is it, dont know if its still about on here is it peeps?
i miss the mk1 scene  best one iv experienced and will be hopefully returning in the near future

wow that is stunning... like a new car!... how on earth do you get 100k out of one without wearing out the seats! bit surprised theres no engine or boot pics???... also dont see the big deal about the 27 stamps when some of them are just "local garage"
Interesting price too, it really would have to be near perfect for me to part that sort of cash and to be honest i dont think i could... it would have to be locked up for the rest of its life, out for shows only and that would be done via a trailer after my last show trip!

He may have done what i did with mine and get a German passanger seat ie our drivers seat.
What got me was the carpets still have all the heal pads on
But the parcel shelf seems to suffer the edge sagging and theres a 'hole' blank in the dash along from the clutch blank thats not suppose to be there.
Like you i would be interested to see the boot and engine and if all the stickers are there and the boot felt etc.
I think he has spent alot on it by the look of it as i intend to do to mine but i find that half the fun.

But 10K  imo not worth it in silver, maybe if it had been in blue............. thinking more about it no still not worth 10K to me imo
