G60 steering wheel fitting!
« on: 05 November 2004, 20:58 »
This should have been an easy one :), but I got a G60 steeering wheel to put on my Mk2, I can take the horn cover off, which then shows a metal piece covered in sponge which comes away and then there is a plastic piece which does not seem to come away, but needs to to get the nut on! anyone know how ths comes off, i don't want to force it and bugger it up!

Cheers

just been up to the loft to have a look at my old one, aren't i good to you!?

if its a square bit of plastic with the horn wire poking through just pull it, its a tight fit and is held on by two clips on the top corner and on at the bottom, middle. it does feel like its going to snap but it does just come away.

if it brakes you can have mine! get a bit physical with it!
team grumpy....... its a way of life, not a forum post
