2nd Puncture this year
« on: 24 November 2009, 20:42 »
Hi

Second puncture this year, this time one of my front CC 3's think I have done about 5k on it, flat as a pan cake, least I could see it this time. Checked the tyre out and couldn't find any nails so far!

My first was back in January a back DS Max, that was nail through the type wall.

Have Monza II's fitted from new, have i been unlucky or do low profiles get more punctures?

Si

Just unlucky I think.

Worst one was when I had a huge bolt thing through my 5 day old £130 michelin primacy a couple of years ago.  That sucked.

Had another one about 6 months ago but those tyres were close to needing replacing anyway so no big deal.

Depending on where it happens they can be repaired, probably be OK to do that on a Polo or some other city dwelling car that doesn't see much 'action' but I don't think I'd feel confident hooning around in a GTI with a patched up tyre.

Ah well, who said life was fair.

Nothing wrong with a professional repair in a tyre.

I'm sure there isn't and I know there is a British Standard for it etc but still it wouldn't have sat easy with me whenever I was pressing on.

I have a puncture too. One of the rear tyres has a nail or something embedded. Unforunately, it's just a tad too close to the sidewall for it to be repaired so I'm getting them replaced this weekend.
