lol no his is an AUM

He's only half solved the problem though, just taken it out and the alternator cable is red hot to the touch

checked the battery while it's running and he gets 13.5v which isn't a lot anyways. I'm thinking a short on his alternator cable maybe?

Is there any sign of wear or splits in any cables?

It might be a bad earth causing too much current to flow down a cable not designed to take it.

Not found any damage yet but I've told him to run a new cable to it and see what happens...
