Nose job anyone?
« on: 14 November 2009, 05:13 »
What's your opinions on this boys and girls?
Personally I quite like it (and no it's not my car). Not so sure about the wheels but the nose looks good IMO.

I like it... subtle change but quite a good effect.

If he had left the numberplate surround on i may have been ok with it. I don't like the wheels and it just does not look right to me. Maybe in a different colour i may have liked the front.

The front looks alright but I prefer it with the standard dark grey panel around the grille. And I presume the number plate is like that so he can take it off for 'scene points' when at shows. Colour coding the bottom part of the mirror doesn't look right either but the black roof is okay. I like the wheel style but they are a bit too big (20") and the big Bentley logos should be removed. And of course it needs lowering. But if he likes it, then it's perfect.

Why do people think those Bentley wheels look good on cars that aren't Bentleys?

Welcome back Mr Ex-pat.
I thought exactly that too, and then the more I looked at them the more I thought they actually looked okay. Well if they were an bit smaller they would anyway.

No one noticed the stretch on those tyres?

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

Objectively, they do look ok (apart from the tyre stretch, obviously ). HOWEVER, as they are fake Bentley GT wheels, they give the impression the owner is trying to look classy. Result: cheap wannabe
