« on: 13 November 2009, 10:36 »
hey how much is a Fischer cd box for the mk2 worth? I may be able to buy one but he dos not know how much he wants & I dont know how much its worth! Hes already turned £40 quid down, which I thought was fair for a bit of plastic!. I  have the cassette version & that only cost me a fiver.  :undecided:

The CD versions do command more money than the cassette one, but I would have thought £40 was reasonable. He must have a price in mind if he has rejected the first offer.

they have gone for over £100 on ebay, but i'd never pay more than £60 for one. yeah they're rare, but who uses cds anymore? MP3 headunits that you can plug you iphone into are where its at nowadays.

though saying that I use a DVD headunit, for no other reason that i can still use my fischer cd holder

I gave up bidding on the last one I saw for sale. It went for over £100 in the end.

I've gone back to listening to cassettes in my Mk2 though. I bought a mint period RDS Kenwood radio cassette and changer combo for £32 off the good old bay. (not fitted the changer yet) It's the only way for that true retro experience
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.
