Headlamp washers

Anyone know how to lift these up for cleaning/maintenance? I've got some gunge stuck in one of them.

I could really do with being able to disable them at times as the spray totally covers the front of the car which can be a pain after cleaning. I've tried the 'quick flick' recommended in the mk5 section but they still spray whenever the lights are on and you want to wash the windscreen.(1st and then every 5th time)

They are a fecking pain in the ass arent they ! Cover the whole of your bonnet

My suggestion is to find a fuse map (didnt find anything on Google, might worth calling VW) of the MK6 and remove the fuse for them so they don't work anymore.

As for keeping them out to clean, pffft, pass.

Stand in front of the car, put your headlights on and get someone else to activate the washers. When they rise, grab it and you should be able to hold it and clean out the area....

Why don't we have little windscreen wipers on the headlights, like a Volvo?  I was expecting these!

Maybe, and be prepared to get wet!!

having wipers on the headlights would ABSOLUTELY RUIN the attractive lines carefully drawn out by the designer
in my humble opinion anyway

Well, tucked away so you can't see them when they're not working, of course!

I'm sure it's not beyond the wit of man to design this.
