Relay shaft ball

as little as possible basically, any play will result in slop in the linkages. obv dont want it so tight it binds tho.

missinglinkz in the US sells poly balls, which reduce the play and wont ever wear.  Also try not to have any play between the ball & the shaft itself, I put a missinglinkz ball on my MK2 Golf but there was still play between the inner plastic bit and the shaft, so I packed it out with tape. Much better

Mine has just been done - like yours half of the ball was missing, and as above, you need the whole arm and ball. Mine was done by a garage - not sure where he got the part from, but it was about £35 + VAT (possibly the dealers as there was no GSF nearby)

By a garage, shocking! Its a 10 minute job! You can see how I refitted mine by flipping it upside down, then drilled and tapped a hole and secured with a bolt.

I think it was about £17 from GSF, it will be listed on the 1st page of my project thread.

It's okay, I punished myself for this by doing the heater matrix myself

sure i got my poly ball on ebay, could be worth checking there?
