year is nice in silver
my mate has offerd me a g plate gti 8v meta cat 1,central locking,pas,5door in silver
is lowered alot would say 65 mm at least good condition bbs ra,s good tyres
has crystall front,rear,fog,indacators,side reapters all lights basically, badgeless grill
a full jetex exsaust except manifold which has only done 5000 miles since new(needs fiting)
fully poly bushed on rear the good ones not the cheap mickey mouse ones
has a spare engine which is good condition witch he took out of his old mk2 which he owned for 11 years and looked after
has had new brake pipes 6 months ago and new drilled discs and new standard exsaust and some new wheel bearings
will need a new rear bumber some point as has a towbar git into it
the car has done 173,000 miles engine runs and pulls fine just smokes a little on idle sometimes can smell oil in car(vavles i think)so the
new engine will need fiting at some at some point
he has driven for year never washed or hooved or serviced it just driven it not hard though. so very very dirty has a scrap on a door not to bad
theres no rust atall any where even underside is good just got the normal stuff like 2nd gear crunch when cold and needs some bits and bobs for the inside e.g mfa not working(only showing 00 00 and cracked, window winder,parcell shelf,none of the speakers work just needs some tlc really
has no paper work not even the service book but has the v5
10 months mot no tax
he said i can take it for £400 does this seem ok or should i walk away i really want another mk2 and cant find one in the area
