my first little problem one of many

morning
this is my project and the first thing i want to fix on my mk3 golf first part of it is the driver window when i push it to go back all the way up it stops and goes back down again and i have to do it a little at a time?
second one is i have an auto closure alarm on the car and the person i bought the car from locked the keys in the car and push both the rear windows down (also electric windows) ive had both cards off both motor make the windows go down but wont go back up again the motor make the noise of it going up but nothing happens? also whilst driving also the windows slip down which is really annoying in this cold weather!? any ideas please help!?

I think us all mk 3 owners have had window problems check the wiring in the door shuts for a start mine were a little bare and needed sum electrical take on them for a start
Just plain dubbin

also check the cable (mechanism) but be careful dont hurt yourself or anything. it could be snapped you looking at just under £50 for front mech (w/o motor) from gsf for a 5dr look on egay you may find a cheap one, but 1 thing to bare in mind, dont get a 2nd hand 1 if your thinking about keeping you car.
