why would i have to take it to VW, sure vag-com is there to replace going to vw haha.

Can you erase all error codes such as abs warning light with vag-com, sorry im "a bit" n00bish but its my first car, altho i am a quck learner so already sorted a few niggles etc out :)

oh,as for your ABS light. . .prob a sensor gone done and needs changing.  :smiley:


one trip to VW could answer all your questions and then no guess work.  :smiley:

taken ma car into VW today and apparently the split servo pipe should turn on the engine warning light not the ABS light and guess what...i have and ABS lght on but no engine service light lol.

its all booked in for tomorrow so hopefully they'll let me know tomorrow whats up with it.

once they have told me i may need help as ill be replacing components.

then fix it yourself or get someone cheaper the VW to sort it.  :smiley:

just got back from vw, they only tested the brake system and the offside rear sensor is gone, should be an easy enough job :) and they said the high idle would be due to the split servo-manifold pipe, this true?

ive replace the pipe that leads from the servo to the inlet mainfold and now ma car runs great, no high idle speeds (The agg doent have a ICV) and really smooth idle rpm, it seems like the split pipe is a common problem, pretty much every golf i looked at in the scrap yeard had this problem.

Just leaves my ABS sensor to replace now, is it an easy job?
