My mate has a dodge charger, and when pushing it struggles to get above 4mpg :D

I average around 330 miles to a tank, that consists of approx 20% dual carrageway/Motorway and 80% city driving

Usually around 27mpg

While we're all (ok, not all of us! :grin:) interested in consumption, it's not really the overriding issue to be focusing on in a GTi...

FYI, I can quite easily eek out a long-term average of about 29 mpg; These are cold start, short runs, which are 100% urban, at approx 2.5 miles per day during the week... Weekend is fun time :afro:

But seriously, if all you are doing is watching the gauge head south, the GTi ain't for you. To be fair though, for the output and what it is, it really isn't that bad.

Anyway, petrol is a finite resource, better enjoy it while it's here!  :evil:

The GTD is like a blow up doll. The GTI is like a proper woman. Sure the doll might last longer, and the woman might have higher running costs, but which would you rather have?
