sagging drivers door!!!

hi,

my drivers door is sagging and ive been told that there is nothing you can do about it other than jacking it up with a trolley jack and forceing it back up but someone else told me its just a case of replacing the pin on the top hinge, obviously i like the sound of the second fix best, but is this correct?

any info would be great

there is no harm in using a trolly jack and lifting the door with it, done it to mine about 4 - 5months ago and its still gd, be sure to put a block of wood between the door n jack though

Replace both pins, not just the top one, set your door up with the striker plate removed! this will allow you to align your door perfectly, without a false reading from a poorly adjusted striker plate, once your happy with your gaps/swage alignment, you can then replace your striker plate, carefully adjusting, so that the door shuts with virtually no resistance, and always make adjustments with the door windows in the up position, and the tailgate open! this will make sure that air pressure is released on shutting
