replace throttle cable

my son has got got a MK 2 golf gti and we want to change the throttle cable but its looks almost impossible does anyone know how ...........many thanks in advanced

Which engine is it?

You only need to remove the retention clip, unhook the other end from the pedal, and feed it through the bulkhead. Its pretty straightforward, 10min job.

1800 what? 8v? 16v?
But as Ben said, really easy. The difficult part is taking down the under dash panel, but even that's a piece of wee wee!

Make sure you take the scuttle panel off, otherwise it really is impossible!!
