What wiper stalk is this?
« on: 04 October 2009, 15:34 »
Need to replace the wiper + indicator stalks on my 87 mk2, and getting totally confused on eBay...  The current wiper stalk looks like this:

But all the stalks I can find on eBay have rear wiper switches in place of the 1/2 MFA switch I've got.  The previous owner removed the rear wiper so I'm guessing he replaced the stalk at the same time for one without rear wiper stuff - does that make sense?  Could it be a mk1 stalk?

to operate the rear wiper just push the stalk toward the dash

hi guessing your hazard switch is on the dash so you need either an early stalk or an 88 spec which looks the same as a 90 spec but has curved connectors on it. if you use the search function then you will find loads on this. i posted a few months a go for someone else. if you take cowlings off and look at the plugs you will know which one you need

early one

90 spec

cant find an 88 spec but as i said same as 90 spec but curved connectors

Awesome, thanks for the help - I've missed that one you've linked (damn) but I'll keep an eye out on eBay for one that'll do the job.

Thanks!
