front strut brace

right i have just bought a mk 3 vr6 golf and it came witha strut brace but its not fitted im really not sure weather to drill the turrets or not ?

whats everyone else done ?

didnt think so cheers mate it was just an after fault as it was in the boot the previous owner just obviously never got round to fitting it

in that case anyone wanna buy it haha
its from venom and its polished alloy

Ive been thinking about it, but i dont think they are worth it unless you track the car, and really put it under strain. Plus its just another thing to get in the way when you are tinkering about.

if your serious  weld it in then it will do something
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

hey guys i thought strut braces would help firm up the suspension geometry by negating flex in the chassis and thereby help steering, tyre contact/wear and sharpen cornering  :undecided:

i'm not sure about these things as  i dont do any track work can anyone give some definitive advice  :huh:

i do have upper and lower fronts to my mk1 and it does seem to corner and handle better than other motors that try and give me a hard time

any straight talking answers appreciated

if there is movent it'll help.

most strut braces seem to have steel ends,  tbh most of the serious strut braces i have seen are made from steel tho
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

ive decided not to fit it anyway but if anyone wants it for 20 quid its brand new never fitted obviosly there more than happy to come get it
its a polishd alloy one for a mk 3
