Dash switch question

had a look in a small bumper 16v mk2 today and noticed where the blanking plates are that one of them had a dimmer style switch which looks like it adjusts/ moves something up and down, and was wondering what i was

If it's in the bank of 6 switches (blanks) it'll be the radio fader.

Heated seats had a push button iirc
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

not push button. the heated seat switch is a scroll switch like the speaker fader

daniel - yours must be a headlamp adjuster setup. Quite rare. If your binning it then let me know! I need a few bits to complete my setup.

its the one pictured and i only saw it in a guys mk2 gti and just wondered what it was
