Mk5 treated to some new goodies!
« on: 09 September 2009, 21:18 »
Dear All,
Just treated my Mk5 to some new goodies and I'm delighted with them all. I've been running a GIAC phase one from Regal @ 250Bhp for 30K faultless miles and have now have complemented this with the DSG software and a rolling road run with new iridium plugs...... what a difference to the everyday driving this makes and I would recommend. Torque take up is more urgent and it's quicker through the gears. Basically commuting in 'D' mode is a pleasure as well as all the other advertised benefits of manual and 'S' mode operation.

Secondly, Monzas are a pain when they start 'worming' and I have researched many fora for a reliable diamond cut. I eventually concluded that the best option was to powder coat and A1 powder coating in Southampton have done a fantastic job on my Monzas. They look fantastic in a chrome powder coat, I'm over the moon! The charm's back with the old smoker!

Am good friends with Malcolm Willis (Managing Director)  from A1 powdercoatings. He done my alloys aswell recently, and done a very tidy job too.

Hi Phil,
That's good news, tell him he's got a very happy customer! I believe the chrome powder coat is quite new for them, it looks great. I'm out of the country for a few days but would be more than happy to post some pics when I get back. How to I attach the photo's to this thread? Sorry to be so thick!
James.

Post you pics to Photobucket.com. Then just copy/paste the photo's IMG code (below all Photo's in your Gallery) to the thread

What difference did you find with the iridium plugs?
