First of all I love this forum,
We all have an ecliptic range of opinions, and within this forum we have had some really good advice, but folks lets be honest, we all have different personal opinions, So here is my list.............
Why a GTI?... Vroom vroom.......
1. Don’t like the 18†Monza II shadows, I think that some YTS, painted the rims with Hammerite, so we have stayed with the standard wheels.
2. DSG against manual, we picked DSG because my wife had all her lymph nodes removed, so this was the best option for us. (easier to drive, less strain on her arm)
3. Leather against fabric. We liked the fabric because it was different, The leather did nothing for us, as the only option was black, we like a lighter colour of leather.
4. Sunroof, allows more light into the cabin.
5. Xeons, don’t often drive in the dark, so not bothered.
6. (Wax your knob) M3 against RS4, driven both, each have strong points, don’t really care, buying a GTI.
7. Going to fit mud flaps, purely to protect the paintwork, still think the car will look ok.
8. Glad I ordered my car before the price increase.
9. Week 42 build date, VW why? get a move on...
