MK 4 Indigo Blue Scratches
« on: 18 August 2009, 19:32 »
Hey,

Got lots of stone chips on the bonnet are they able to get polished out if so can you recomment me a good polish to do this?

Also got alot of small marks not gone through to metal but visible to the eye and would love to get it all nice and clean if anyone could help me?

Thanks Lee

I'm afraid stone chips are not repairable by polishing.

As for the other marks it's hard to say without seeing them. If they are scratches I think you will struggle to get rid of them by hand, even if they are not deep at all.

As you mentioned in your PM, the best product I could recommend trying is Meguiar's Ultimate Compound found here:

Along with some of these:

Use an awful lot of elbow grease and see how you go. Also might be worth getting a good wax, something like Meguiar's No. 16 to protect all the hard work you do.

Cheers,

Chris
