VW 'Approved' Aftermarket Wing Mirrors
« on: 07 September 2004, 15:36 »
Hello u lot ...

I'm looking to change / colour code the mirrors on my Mk2. I was curious to see what people have seen or done before as I'm not 100% on what to do ???

M3 mirrors is just too close to the whole boy racer scene for me - but i'd like more than to just colour code what I've got ...

Any *sensible* ideas ? ? ?? ??? Or other models I could 'adapt' ...

The original mirrors suit the MK2 best. M3's look odd.

Even if you colour code the base plate....that ruins the flavour ::)

heres mine...

I'm thinking the same, just colour the mirror back too ... just wanted to see if anyone has any original idea's as I really haven't anything diverse that works on a mk2 - maybe VW got it right first time ??

How easy is it to seperate the back from the base plate - I've got manual mirrors too so no nasty motors to fiddle with !!

I have some DTM Pod look mirrors, ?40 for the mirrors and a set of Bass plates, just cut a wee bit of rubber off the windows then attatch using 3 screws and its job done  ;D
