front drinks holder
« on: 05 January 2008, 09:46 »
hi all,

finally had my dvd screen put in my car so all looking and sounding sweet now but i got a company near me to put it in and they put the player in the top slot rather than the bottom one so the drinks holder wont come all the way down anymore which is a pain

anyone any ideas if i can move it at all and where i could move it to?
a work in progress......someday i might think i'm happy with a car....maybe

Take it back to the shop.  I'm sure after spending all those $$'s, they'll move it down for you!!

Don't know why they put it up there, when the original (DIN size) unit came from underneath.  That top section is usually reserved for the OE 'in-dash' cd changer (the cubby hole bit comes out).

(Or you can have the whole space for a 'Double-DIN' size unit.

Having seen various pics on here of other peoples interiors im slightly disappointed to say that the front of my drinks holder doesnt sit flush with the rest of the dash :(

Most peoples on here seem to be nice and flush but mine seems to stick out a little (the front cover that you push and then the holder pops out). Any ideas how I could re-allign it?!

at a guess there will be something obstructing it so just have a look around and see if there is anythink in the way,

have you got a stock stereo or an after-market one?
