hellow fellow members
« on: 29 July 2009, 22:26 »
hellow everyone im amz, im pretty familiar with forums so thought i would join. i have been a member of the civiclife and civicsportsclub forums and i have owned 5 civics 1 on them being a fully bult track monster and the rest just engine swap and other bits and bobs.
i have also owned a mk4 tdi 150 and a mk4 20v turbo.
anyway i just recently bought a mk3 vr6 highline in black and its a 3 door with 78k on the clock
got it for a real good price and my plan is to get it looking clean and original not gonna go all out with dish's and smoothing off etc
when i got the car about 2 weeks ago it had some things wrong with it really dirty i mean really dirty and because of that theres rust on the rear driver side arch and both front wings are bubbling and the driver side door sill also has rust which is common on a car this age anyway, plus the sunroof wasnt working or central locking and it had an awful exhaust onit some kind of custom crap. and had an oil leak so first things first i jaked it up and found that the sump had a crack init and sourced a sump and bought a sump bolt from gsf and replaced the sump.
then i sourced an original exhaust so got it on the ramp and changed that!!
then fixed the central locking and sunroof and gave the car a good 5 bucket clean . the rust will also be sorted out soon will be giving it in hopefully by the end of august.
also today i opened the bonnet and gave the engine bay a good clean i took the vr6 and the spark covers off and gave them a good clean and resprayed them all in satin black i also took off the inlet manifold and gave that a good clean and sprayed that in vht silver so the bay is looking up to my standard but i still need to take off all the old bolts and replace them with shiny new ones
anyway the speedo is also showing up in-02 which iirc means the 15000 mile service correct me if im wrong.
anyway i am pretty happy with the car i just need to give it a good service and get a new set of tyres for it because its all mix and match on them at the moment so will be going for some r888's or t1r's and then respraying the alloys in gunmetal grey and getting that rust sorted thje car should then be looking pretty mint, i have already replaced the manky number lates and chucked some xenon number plate lights onit an a 8 led interior light i hate dull lights so that was a must for me  :nerd:.
anyway thanks for reading.
amz
