i'd b a dreamer if i said i wanted t do a 1.8turbo 20v conversion,my mate said it'll be around 3 grand.boooooooo

Point taken  :smiley: your case is different however and it is worth changing your engine with all the other work that you have carried out.

Even not in my case. My mate is lookin for a vr. There is a lot of over priced rot boxes about at the moment. Needle in a heystack

Scrappage scheme that's why. Someone started a thread on Ed38 saying that the prices of VR6's has gone up, and that they've seen poor condition ones with no tax/mot for about 1600+

When I mentioned that I'm trying to sell my Highline for 1400-1500 quid in its current state, I was bombarded with PM's about it lol.
