« on: 31 August 2004, 12:38 »
Hi

Ive got a mk1 1.8 k-jet with a gti engineering plus pack head, and 4 branch exhaust. Ive just been offered a set of twin 40's. Does this engine take well to the twin carbs? and does any one know rough power figures??? Any help would be tidy

Ben.

a friend of mine has a 1.8 carb bottom end with ported and polished gti head with fast road cam on twin 40s. knocked out 120bhp before tuning and 150ish when tuned.

I am looking for a set of twin 40's, so if you decide against the idea I would be ver interested!

As I understand it on the injected engine you will need to make sure you have regulators in the fuel lines do deal with the high pressure fuel pump, or change the fuel pump to the low pressure type..

Cheers
