rear door doesnt unlock??

as title rear door on our 56 reg mk5 will not unlock now 3 months out of warrenty!

sounds like it makes an extra click or 2 when pressing unlock. outside handle moves normal distance but inside handle only moves about halfway  (can fell some resistance)

any ideas ppl??

extra to the above i believe it maybe the dead lock not deactivating on that door only?? the resistance i feel when pulling the interior handle is the same as the other when trying to open when the deadlocks on.

found the answer on another site this may be of use to someone on here

when pressing the unlock button on remote thump outside of door below handle. not sure what it realses but it worked...for now atleast
