Not necessarily as I'll get the same extra whether i have a petrol or diesel, as it's a sweetener not mileage. If I got a diesel I'd still save on the fuel costs.

Just going to drive slowly to work and then save my fuel for the weekends when I can enjoy it.

Around 20k miles in a GTI would work out at £3250 a yr in fuel. In a diesel it would work out at around £2160 a year in fuel.

....Crikey!!!! I do just under 20k per year (72k miles in 4 years) and have never bothered to work out my V-Power costs.

Would I rather drive a diseasal to save £1,100 a year? - No way!!

If you're paying for your car on PCP you will get charged for every mile you go over the limit you agreed with VW when you bought the car.  I'm pretty certain this is 6p plus VAT for every mile you go over.  I have this problem because when I bought the car I was only doing 12k miles per year but have since changed my job location and am doing five times the mileage to and from work than I was doing when I bought the car.
