Any time at all is too much IMO...  :embarassed:
MKV GTI | Reflex Silver | 5-dr | Anthracite 17" | Manual | Highline MFD | Cruise | Revision 'D' DV | Dirty Pipes |

The GTD is like a blow up doll. The GTI is like a proper woman. Sure the doll might last longer, and the woman might have higher running costs, but which would you rather have?

I have decided to leave it. A shame as it was a nice spec with leather, xenons and low mileage. There does seem to be a dearth of well looked after GTIs for around 10K.

The search continues.

I looked at one on pistonheads, went and looked at it, and it was so dodgy it was untrue, said that its registered to his mate, to keep the owners down on paper, but his mate who owns it is in pakistan for 3 months, so would not be able to signthe V5 right away.
Then got a phone call when I got home saying his mate is now back and could do the signing over (probably a mate pretending it was his!)
was an 05 reg, leathers, Xenons and wanted £7800, said it was possibly worth £6000 to me and then walked away

The thing that attracted to me to this car is the VW warranty is extendible so if anything major goes wrong I'm covered.  Anyone know off the top of their head the cost of extending the warranty?

Cheers

VW is not the only company that does extendable warranty.  Have a look at Surf and  Protect or warranty direct and compare cost.
Without traction power is nothing!

There are loads of companies out there that do extended warranty as said in the last post, have a search on Google and see how much they want.
