spark plug type

Got a 95 8v gti- is this the 2E engine- will plugs for the up to 94 2E fit mine?
How do I see what engine type I have?

Check you engine number it will be on your v5?

Not got the V5 back yet- bought it last week. Will the engine number show the ADY etc on it. If so, what plugs should I get?
