Both great cars.  Some people remarked about my 'Astra' with the rocco that pi$$ed me off!

I actually PREFER the look of the GTI, I think the Rocco can look a little boy racery, not as sophisticated or prestigious as a GTI or a TT if you know what I mean?

sure. i can see what you mean - it looks aggressive so some can make assumptions i guess. the wheel arch is a big off putter to as you state. however, this may sound weird, but the gti is just a little too high in height for me(actual car not wheel arch). if it was about 2-4cm lower i would love it so much more. im quite weird with those little things but im sure i can get over it!

Is it still the same model in the Mk6 as in the late Mk5's - since the climate control is now on the stereo screen?

I'd go for the Sat Nav one purely because it has a built in 30gb hard drive and the facility to copy your CD's / MP3's onto it!  Saves keeping disks / ipod in the car.

Not too sure about this tbh.. i think it might just be an additional unit that plugs into the back of the HU if you get the RNS510 with climate control.
