i am putting a double din head unit in my gold and it needs an ignition live but both the lives are permant. does anyone have anyidea were i can find one tried the lighter socket but thaqt is live all the time as well

you can do it 2 ways
1 buy a vw canbus adapter like this

or
2 run a cable from the back of the cigarette lighter or the fusebox

hi were can i find a wiring diagram for the car to find an ignition live i have put a can bus block in but it still has 2 lives to it

are you testing the voltage with the key in the ignition as one will stay live until the key is removed

which canbus adapter have you bought as it may be faulty as it must have an ignition connection
