Weitec GTN owners - HELP please!

So I bought a set of weitec gtn's....front has gone on fine but the rear....@~%&~#!!!!!!!!!

I had coilovers on the rear before hand, ive got them off and am ready to put the new rear shocks on.

My problem is that the spacer ive got, part 8, will not fit over the shock, past the threaded bit - As in it wont go down far enough to allow me to fit part 17 and upwards....


This makes me think that either the spacer im using was specific to the coilovers that came off and I need a vag spacer...

or that the weitec gtn shocks dont require a spacer (dont think this is correct)

Anyone help me out please.....I'm going crazy here lol

i fitted them to my car

no problems and i used every thing i took off my car in the way it came off the car

i need to strip my rears down to lower them some more

i will look and take piccys for you

I'm pretty sure the spacers i have are the wrong ones....think im going to have to order some from vw.

Will prob be able to tell from pics tho

if part 9 fitted but 8 did not id say they're the wrong parts, or maybe all crudded up inside or something

Im pretty sure that spacer that I have is specific to the hottuning coilovers that I've taken off and thats why i'm having issues. Just ordered new spacers from VW so hopefully they'll work.

Perfect example how a simple 3hour job can turn into a three day job! lol
