Afternoon all
Just thought you'd like to know that with all of your help, I've finally got my 16V running !!!!
I swopped out the fuel pump late last night and tried her early this morning.......god she's a goer
!!
I purchased her as a non runner and as my first GTI, I was unsure what to expect, but I'm really happy with the performance of the 16V and think with a bit of tidying up, she'll be a great car for me.
I also just wanted to say a big Thank You to everyone for the post's, the help, the encouragement and the general good nature and willingness to provide good advise from everyone who's helped me. This is a really good forum and I look forward not to the next problem I have, but knowing there's a bunch of guys I can ask the stupid questions to and once the laughters over, get the right advise first time! So cheers to you all
I hope the level of information on this issue will help someone else like me in the future, who when stuck, needs a bit of expert help
