4 wheel geometry set up
« on: 01 June 2009, 22:26 »
Hi,

After removing the lowering springs and shocks to return it to normal ride height i had this checked by a local tyre fitting co.  They corrected the toe in on the drivers side front which corrected the off camber however when the did the passenger front it didn't correct the camber.  I was then told that to correct this a special VW only tool (i think he said it was tool 3270 but i could be wrong) was required and only VW had them.  Is this right?  Anyone recommend a company that can do this in the aldershot farnham farnborough area?

to adjust the camber on the front you only have to loosen the two 17mm nuts at the bottom of strut then move it to where it needs to be no special tools required

Adjust the camber and you WILL need to reset the tracking.

A branch of Protyre will do a complete geometry set up on the front.

The rear's pretty much static, as it's a beam on your 2WD Golfs.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.
