Ive been thinking bout lowering my 8v GTi . What else is actualy involved in lowering with coil-overs , Ive only used uprated springs and shocks in the past and had someone else fit them for me.I would like to have a go myself this time round but if its beyond doing on a drive I'd get a garage to do it. Do mk3's have adjustable camber with the eccentric nuts on the strut bottom? .

Obviously it would pay to have everything re aligned by a garage after fitting , but do you have to do this every time you change the ride height ?.

is pretty simple, just need new front top mounts (can be found on ebay) then just jack the car and fit them. http://www.ottawa-vdubbing.com/info/techtips/coilover/index.htm

Yes, adjust the height to how you want it, leave it a couple of weeks to settle then readjust. When your happy get the camber tracking set up.

Link to my fitting guide: http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=68845.0 very easy to fit, best to replace the rear top mounts as well.
