Just a thought, I got my Mk2 Golf GTi this morning and was wondering about central locking... I may be able to get my hands on a Mk3 Central locking system. Are the doors/Mechs similar.. anyone retro fitted a central locking system from a Mk3 to a Mk2

mk3 locks will not fit on a mk2 as the lock mechanism is mounted inside the door and there is physically no room to fit the mechanism and associated attached motor
just buy a universal central locking kit
