What is needed?
« on: 13 June 2009, 01:38 »
Hi, Sound system noob here. :embarassed:

Can someone point me in right direction to what I need to install a DDX8032BT Kenwood DVD player into a 2007 MK5 GTI?

My standard system is a non SAT NAV non MP3 6 stacker RCD300 (i think) which has the amp under the seat.

Is it possible to retain the volume up and down plus mute on the steering wheel? Will the Kenwood unit intergrate with the stock AMP?

Cheers,

Not sure, but you probably need a CANBUS adapter - this may retain some of the steering wheel functionality.......

Get some pics up when it's done
