R-Tech Ecu by post Results
« on: 20 May 2009, 21:09 »
I posted my AGU  Ecu last monday to R-Tech , i was a little apprehensive to be honest but i was wanting them to map the car so went for it,
Got it back thursday morning Happy man, Rang them down to pay they told me no, Dont pay till im happy.

Got it in , car ran great was very happy boosting 17psi holding 14 on the gauge :)

Next day Car ran 12 psi no more, rang nick or ben told me to do a few checks on it,clean TB etc did th,at . Bloody the same, i told him to take my card details so i could pay, Again he said NO ( i thought this a bit strange ) But anyway.

Another day passes and another phone call to nick, turns out i had a split Dv hose, replace it and 1 on fpr where boost gauge was fitted and bang, back to normal :)

Rang to pay AGAIN , Still " No dont worry about it, run it for a few days see how it goes "

Paid today thank god haha,

So big thanks to Nick and Ben, I actually couldnt have asked for more Constantly gave me advice when needed and Not all mappers do that.

Any 1 willing to post an ecu but maybe a little worried, my advice is go for it :)

Thanks again

Spend a Fiver on silicone hose is the only thing i recommend and cleaning the Throttle Body is simple :)
I Used some washer jet hose from halfords to get me by for a couple days till silicone turned up,

I was going to go through to Star Performance, But read Good reviews and decided to give it a go, Plus it was half price and they didnt even ask for postage :)

I am glad your happy m8 and your running the boost, I will only take payment once a customer is happy even if it is not down to the remap.  I am a hard person to get hold of at the moment, but once you got hold of me I will bend over backwards to advise /assits as much as I can to make sure every customer IS happy with R-Tech as a whole.  Thank you for you custom and if you have any problem in the future you know I am always willing to help.  If you ever get your car on a dyno please send us your results.

Hi Nick,

Thanks for that...   my post is here : http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=114643.0

Not really a problem as such,  I'm just getting a bit pissed off with it all tbh ( costs, travel etc )...

Alan's results sound very reassuring ( am I right you found out about "RTech via post" on my thread hahaha   )

Cheers lads
