Front Bumpers
« on: 21 May 2009, 20:27 »
What are the choices in replacement front bumpers as my wife wants to change hers now it has a small bump on it, the car rolled down the drive today and hit the garage wall, either the handbrake wasn't on all the way or it jumped on the pawl,(needs adjusting) not much damage has been done, but she was in tears when she phoned me, also the rear needs changing aswell, as that has a small mark on it  which was there when we got the car.
Was looking at R32, but not sure if want to try and make the car look like something its not (no offence to guys that have gone that way) although it is a nice bumper, especially with a fmic.
MK4 GTI T AGU, REVO Remap, BMC carbon box, Miltek cat back, Forge diverter valve, THS FR3 engine/Gbox mounts, Some random alloys, lowered on coilovers.
192bhp 212lbft torque.

standard or R32

the main differences come in the valences

standard
4Mo
Anniversary

then you can go the smoothed route and have the bump strips removed and the valence blended in

or you can source US or Jap spec bumpers
