Been a member for a little while but only just started getting involved now that I have a mk2 gti 8v. I've always had a thing for golfs. Started off with a mk4 8v gti which was such a nice car but just felt a bit underpowered considering the weight of it. After the mk4 I had a mk5 gt 140 diesel with a revo stage 1 map which was brilliant, a great all rounder really. Now I have the mk2 which is my favourite by far, so fun to drive and very very grippy, can't believe how phenominal the car is in the twists and turns.
My mk2 is pretty standard apart from the eibach springs (30mm) and the 15 inch wheels which are fake splits (bbs look) and 8 inches wide with Yokohama S Drives stretched over on each wheel. I have posted a pic on the mk2 part of the forum.
I look foward to chatting, most likely picking peoples' brains though I expect! I have some plans for the mk2, next step is K & N panel filter and after that I'm getting a stainless 4-1 manifold and stainless jetex for xmas (present to myself
). Perhaps eventually p&p head and cams but will see how I go.
