As said before, wait for 10 mins to discharge the air bag, remove the two allen bolts behind the steering wheel to remove the air bag unit, There is a yellow plug you just pull out from the air bag. There is a large nut holding the whole wheel on, 24mm if i remember correcly, put the steering lock on to undo it
Under the cowling there is the connector to the airbag which coils under the wheel, personally i made the mistake of destroying all the wires, which i guess is ok if you are putting an after market one on, otherwise you need to unplug it and pull it through.
