rattling downpipe heat shield removal advise pls

hello just had new clutch and engine mount put on my 8v p reg gti but still getting very annoying rattle from i think downpipes heat shield firstly is it ok to remove the heatshield around the pipes was going to put some exhaust wrap around and secoundly if this is ok how the heck do i remove it !!!!! cheers peter

hey just thought of an idea has anyone ever put jubilee clips around the 2 ends nearest the manifold as this is what appears to loose/rattling !! should there be something there as there is cat end ? or have i answered my own question !!!! peter

get it spot welded back into place..
