just got my mk1

brought this for 600ish quid, for now its just going to be a runaround whilst my minis getting restored/ tuned up a little, but who knows what'l happen when the mini's done  :wink:...
its a 1.8 8v scirocco engine (bit tappy when cold but goes away when its warmed up), has scirocco scala interior (but its scruffy), full stainless manifold and system, not bad for the money eh.









and my mini without the grille on :D

looks niice mate but ditch those hideous big bumpers makes it look horrible especially at the front  :sick:

they look like they are from a later cabby get the correct year bumpers or early small metal ones and it will look  :cool:  :cool:  :cool:

i would ditch them completly and slam it on small wheels ideally. but for now...£is on the mini, and u never know whatl b lurking underneath the kit lol.  :undecided:

please mate dont slam it too low all that will do is ruin the handling and you'll look a complete  numpty, after all golf gtis are meant to handle better than other cars of the same ilk and generation and you'll also find a sweet handling mk1 will leave most modern cars for dead

which is much more cool  :wink:

well been run a bit now and dosnt tap any more, even when its left for a day then stated :D:D. and starts alot easier, sounds healthy now  :laugh:.

looked over it for the MOT with my mates mechanic and looks really solid on the ramp, all that needs atention is the front brakes... disks, pads and a bleeding seshion...  :grin:

by the way... not a real GTI lol, just a scirocco engined 1.1.
