Induction Kit Problem
« on: 21 April 2009, 08:27 »
Bought a pipercross induction kit for my 2.0 16v GTi and it doesnt seem to fit. Does anyone have a picture they can post of what it looks like when fitted?
I've been on the pipercross website and there is a picture on there but there are few differences on there, like one of the pipes goes into the top of the air box and not in to the pipe the comes out of the back of the air box and on to the top of the engine, and unable to see where the bracket bolts on to?

Can anyone help?

Hey mate, had a Raidhp induction kit on my old valver but i guess the principle is the same.

The pipe that comes off the back of the airbox at the bottom is just the warm air feed, jst tie it outta the way.
Make sure you block off the vac hose that runs from the throttle body to the airbox and that breather pipe that connects to the side of the airbox either needs to be plumbed in the back of the actual filter (if theres a hole for it) or you just need one of those little breather filters on the end.

As for the bracket mine was attached to the suspension turret.

Hers a pic......

Hi Daz,

Where do you get silver aliminium hose? To filter side or other side? I am planning to get it right side to filter. It will be long, because Filter side has not any seperation for hose on my car. A/C compressor closes spaces. I guess your car non a/c?

If you got more pics about these hose please send it. Thanks.

Halfords etc. Does pretty much naff all mate, except get caught in the alternator. lol.

When you are moving, the air comes through the Grille, around the headlights, and from under the car.

Hosing, and ducting is a big waste of time mate ;)
