Going to look at a Scirocco GT2 - some questions
« on: 23 April 2009, 17:16 »
There's a Scirocco GT2 for sale here that I'm interested in since I've sold the Vento. It looks nice and clean in the pictures posted. Just over 100k miles. The engine is a 1.8 carb. What should I look out for when going to see it? Common problems/rust spots/etc.
Also, what can you tell me about the 1.8 carb engine? I know basically nothing about it  :embarassed:.
Thanks guys
Not low enough mk5

Main problem is the carb itself, the std pierberg had lots of problems with the autochoke, webber do a conversion kit to replace the carb and lets you use a manual choke.
