it will bolt right on if you swap the clutch friction disc to a TD one, but it'll have really tall ratios. great for cruising but not so much for accelleration. Ideally fit the whole clutch kit though, silly not to while its off. Oh and if its a late GTI the flywheel may be different, if it has 1 locating dowel its the late type and needs swapping for an earlier 210mm flywheel for the TD clutch kit to fit
