Just hope that when that girl gets home and tells her family, that her statement stays the same mate.....

Did any of the other witness's give statements?

Seems as though she has taken full blame etc though, and the parents know it was her fault.
There were several witnesses.  One witness was the lady that was in the car behind me. She confirmed that I was well under the speed limit, and that it was the teenager's fault for running into the road without looking.
Another witness left her phone number before the police arrived as she had to leave. Pretty sure she will say the same.

Was thinking of maybe popping into the school tomorrow with a box of chocs or somet for the teen, and see if she's OK. I mean, I know it was completely her fault for running in front of me without looking, but I still feel bad for hitting her even though it couldnt be helped.

As everyone else has said good on you mate for taking such care. People that drive performance cars are too often critizied for driving too fast everywhere even if they are not.

At any speed if wouldn't have mattered if the car was a Golf or a battered up 10 years old Corsa, the outcome would probably have been the same.

Just goes to show you, fast cars and sensible, responsible driving can happily co-exist.

Ifti...Having read several of your posts on here, you're clearly a thoroughly decent bloke. If you ask me...you're a bloody hero mate. You've slowed down anticipating something like this happening and gone on to do all the right things. Her parents should be at your door thanking you for saving their daughters life...ok,maybe a bit ott but as a father of 2 girls myself,I can only hope that in the event they find themselves in this kind of situation, they're dealing with someone as genuine as you.Well done Ifti...bet you're shaken but mate, you should also be very proud!

Thanks for all the comments guys.
Just glad the girl is fine - just had an email from the school stating her parents have been contacted again this afternoon and they say she is fine.
I will probably pop in tomorrow and have a quick chat with her, just for my own piece of mind.
Hopefully that will be the end of the matter.

God, I dont know how people who hit someone and just run for it live with themselves!

man that is one situation I would not like to be in.

I hope this is the last you hear about it and gad no one was seriously hurt. I'd try and forget about it.
