well u dont really need the rack .. TT is a short rack (lock to lock) if u on a budget u change the parts it need to be changed .(TT wishbones, TT or r32 front  anti roll bar ,TT drop link , TT hub carriers and TT/r32/lcr/s3 strut or collies ....

ahh ok so mainly upgrading the wishbones for TT ones

yeah ... TT wishbones is cast and the mk4 wishbone is pressed so during high speed cornering the mk4 wishbone bend slightly whereas the TT WISHBONE will stay the same ..... also TT anti roll goes under the driveshaft so when u lower the car it wont catch the driveshaft whereas the mk4 anti roll bar is on top of the driveshaft so when u go lower than 50mm it will stasrts to rub ...

from reading other posts is 28mm the best rear to go for?

depends on your style really - apparently the whiteline on its stiffest setting is equivalent to a 28mm bar (not 100% sure on this) but i've yet to try it out on that setting due to the crap weather
