hey ! im fairly new to the Dub sceen.... had a polo GT as first car, then clio and..... :embarassed: rover.got my self a totally stndard 1989 big bumper 8v Gti 2 weeks ago, wanted one since i was 8 ! its done 206k miles. when i got it it was pretty sad.... filthy inside, lights didnt work, grille was nakkered, pissed coolant. . . etc ! But after a bit of elbow greece its not looking too bad atm ( pics bellow ) Plan is to keep it looking as original as possable... sit it on BBS RA's and in the future a full respray (same colour) engine wise i want to keep it an 8v, ive thought about 16v conversion but as it was born an 8v it will die one too

either recon the current engine or buy a recondtioned one from TES engines as the current ones close to the end

. il post up my build diary in a few months when it starts to kick of.

so far ive replaced rear lights with valver ones, replaced grille with de-badged one, new headlights, replaced old coolant hose, new disks and pads, given it a good clean and buff, fitted a few inside and outside trim parts and have the CV boots to do on friday.
